What we collect
- On this website: your selected base is stored only in your browser so the preview can show relevant listings. We do not receive that selection from the preview.
- Hosting and security metadata: our website host and form provider may automatically process and make available an IP address, browser or device user-agent, request time, and limited network and security-log metadata needed to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and protect the service. We do not use this metadata for device-location tracking or third-party advertising.
- In the iPhone app: the current app asks only whether you want the Fort Belvoir edition or a national-only preview. It does not create a Morale Call account or send us that edition choice, your Saved list, reminder list, or device location. Those preferences stay on the device. The app requests a signed public opportunity feed without an account identifier. Apple processes App Membership purchases; we do not receive your complete payment-card details.
- Launch notices, sponsor inquiries, and member setup: if you submit a form, we receive the contact details, home installation, and optional information you provide, plus a minimized landing page, referring page, and allowlisted campaign tags where present. Page and referring addresses are recorded with query strings and fragments removed. Attribution is kept in browser storage for the current session only so it can follow a reader between Morale Call pages before submission. We use these details to respond, deliver the paid membership or notices you requested, and understand which outreach produced the inquiry. We do not use device-location tracking or third-party advertising pixels.
- At website checkout: Stripe collects your name, email address, payment details, and any home-base response requested by the checkout. We receive the billing contact, transaction status, and checkout responses needed to deliver the Web Founding Membership. We do not receive or store complete card numbers.
- Web-membership communications: we use the website purchaser’s email address to deliver the weekly brief, receipts, renewal or material-change notices, and service messages. Every launch or marketing message will include our no-login unsubscribe form. Buying the separate App Membership does not enroll you in these emails.
- Requests: if you contact us or submit the cancellation form, we receive the information you provide so we can respond and administer the membership. We may use automated tools to sort a request and prepare a draft response. A person reviews account, refund, privacy, accessibility, and safety decisions before action is taken. We do not use support-message content to train a general-purpose AI model.
- Optional web-member outcomes: a Web Founding Member may report an opportunity used, outcome type, optional personally confirmed savings estimate, and optional comment. This feedback does not affect membership or refund rights and is not revenue. We use it to improve editorial priorities. We quote an optional comment only with the separate permission checkbox selected, never publish the purchaser’s name or email address with it, and do not share identifying outcome reports with sponsors.
OPSEC by design
We deliberately collect the minimum. We do not ask for, and you should not send us: unit names, deployment dates, orders, rank, duty schedules, or children’s information. Website base selection and the app’s Fort Belvoir-or-national-only edition choice are content preferences, not location records — we do not track device location.
Children
Accounts are for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children, and the service is not directed to children. Family activities are listed for parents to act on.
Who we share with
We share information only with service providers needed to run the product, including Stripe for payments, our website host, and the provider used to deliver membership email; with professional advisers who are bound to protect it; or when law requires disclosure. We do not sell personal information or share member information with sponsors or advertisers.
Retention and deletion
We keep membership and contact information while needed to provide the service and administer launch notices, inquiries, cancellations, refunds, disputes, and support. Transaction records are retained as required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes. Use the unsubscribe form to stop launch and marketing email. You may use our contact form to request access, correction, or deletion; we will delete information we no longer need or are not required to retain.
Security
The website and app use encrypted HTTPS connections. Complete card data is handled by Stripe for web purchases and Apple for App Store purchases rather than by Morale Call. We limit administrative access to people who need it to operate the service. The current web preview and iPhone app do not create or store a Morale Call password.
