Newcomer orientation and welcome packet

The installation’s newcomer page covers the Welcome Center, arrival basics, gate access, and the official orientation route. The Relocation Assistance Program also offers a welcome packet and lending closet for eligible arriving or departing families.

Army Community Service

ACS is the hub for no-cost classes and support spanning financial readiness, relocation, employment, EFMP, new-parent support, volunteering, and other military-life needs.

Do this: Open the ACS program list and choose the one problem you need solved now; verify eligibility with that program before visiting.

Outdoor Recreation

ODR lists equipment rental, camping, fishing, archery, boating, day trips, and reservable parks or pavilions. Inventory, access, and activity rules vary.

Leisure Travel Services

LTS publishes military-discount ticket options, attraction information, and group trips. Some offers require advance reservations and ticket terms may restrict refunds or exchanges.

Do this: Compare the current MWR price with the attraction’s direct price and restrictions, then use the official order route or call 703-805-3714 before making a special trip.

Library and digital learning

The Fort Belvoir MWR Library lists books, media, computers, Wi-Fi, printing, events, and access routes to digital learning resources. Patron eligibility applies.

Military-spouse and family career help

The Employment Readiness Program lists career counseling, federal job-search help, résumé and interview support, spouse-preference counseling, workshops, and referrals for eligible community members.

Do this: Review the current service list and ask which appointment or workshop matches your next job-search step.

Free national-park access for eligible military families

The National Park Service explains the free annual Military Pass for current U.S. military members and their dependents, plus separate lifetime access for veterans and Gold Star Families. A pass does not replace park-specific reservations or other fees.

Do this: Confirm which pass applies, how to obtain it, and the destination park’s current reservation, parking, and closure rules before leaving.
